Professional Photographer with 20 year experience in Wedding documentary-style photography

You’ll see from looking at my site that my approach to wedding photography is very natural.

You can call it documentary photography, or even wedding reportage photography, it all amounts to the same thing; this style of photography means I can be invisible, you can enjoy the day fully knowing every moment is being photographed.
Every photographer has a different approach to how they photograph a wedding.

My Approach

I don’t intervene in the flow of the day, I don’t stand on the edges shooting with a long lens. I will be close at all stages, paying attention with my camera ready for an unexpected wonderful moment. All the tiny and big details that you have worked so hard on will be photographed I will build a strong narrative to the story of your day.

My Philosophy

"My love of photography is my driving force which enables me to take beautiful images in a way that is relaxing and informal to couples.
Our objective when taking a photograph is that the person is made to feel at ease at all times."

I will be there to photograph you enjoying your wedding with your close family and friends. I believe that your memories from your day should be made with these people and not with your photographer. I like to limit the time for family and bridal party photographs to 20 – 25 minutes in the most appropriate light depending on weather and the time of year.
I believe it’s important to capture the atmosphere, the energy and emotion, the tears and even the laughter that all goes into the most important day of your lives.

My Story

I specialise in unposed and posed documentary-style photography which tells the story of your wedding day.
I noticed very quickly at the start of my career over 20 years ago that wedding couples want to spend time with their family and friends and not all day with their photographer.
Because the innovation in photographic technology cameras now allow you to shoot in low light with no flash.
Low light shooting means for example that I can move around your church without being noticed, move around your wedding venue in a style that does not interrupt you or your guests day.
